This course is a practical introduction to the material skills of print making, focused on the main traditional relief and intaglio techniques, such as xylography, linocut, etching and aquatint, dry point, soft ground etching and all the possible variations of these techniques.
The course will introduce to students the ways that artists have used printmaking both as an adjunct to their primary artistic output and as a primary artistic media in its own right.
The studio and teaching will be provided for this course by the highly experienced and professional printmaking school Fondazione Il Bisonte.
